6 Months

Hard to believe, but Therese has been with us for half a year! Here are the most recent milestones:

1) She has her two bottom teeth

2) She gives us kisses, but instead of a pucker, it involves the action of eating your face.

3) She reaches out and hugs people that she knows.

4) She sucks on her toes.

5) Loves to play with her reflection in the mirror.

6) We are introducing solids very slowly, but at this point she has tried rice cereal and yams-both a success!

7) Babbling frequently. She makes a lot of different sounds but her favorite to say is da da da da da da da!

8) Can sit up unassisted for about 2-3 seconds if balanced just perfectly.

9) She's beginning to push herself up into a crawl position and scooting herself across the floor. She will be crawling very soon!

10) She is 19 lbs. 2 oz. and 27 3/4 inches long.

A Big Week

It was a big week for Therese! On Monday we introduced some rice cereal to her. Despite having a difficult time figuring out how to use a spoon (and is still having difficulty), she likes it. She doesn't know to swallow it yet, but smiles and grabs for the spoon and bowl. You can see it all over her face.

She is getting more active on the floor. After leaving the room for a moment, I came back and found her nestled and playing in the blanket.

Another time, we found she had pulled the play gym down, yanked the poles out and was chewing on them. I guess playing with the same toys all the time was getting too monotonous so she had to find a new way to play with them.

Lately Therese has been grabbing her feet and rolling around. She always does it while I'm trying to change her diaper. Well, one evening while changing her diaper before bed, she grabbed her feet and I wanted to show Aaron. So I picked her up like that and she kept the position. We thought it was so funny that we took pictures.

Just yesterday we had some friends over! My good friend Jenni and her adorable little girl, Madelyn stopped by for a visit. We found out we were pregnant at the same time, our due dates were 3 days apart and Madelyn was born just 8 days after Therese! This was the first time we were able to get together since the girls were born and it was so much fun! *And an added bonus, Jenni discovered Therese had two teeth break the surface! (Thanks Jenni) The bottom right tooth is out and the bottom left is not far behind.

Look at these cuties!
And notice Therese pressing her tongue into her teeth.

"Hey, I like you."

"Madelyn, look over there."

Here we are at Jenni's baby shower-the last time we were together before our girls were born.

And here we are with our girls.

Rolled the other way

Therese rolled back to belly this morning! She can roll both ways and now flips back and forth all the time. It's been so much fun to watch her develop.
