26 Weeks

This child is on a roll and growing like crazy! Every week I am a little bigger and it's becoming obvious to friends as well. They make comments about the growth every time they see me. I gained 5 lbs. this week! Yes folks, that's right, I said 5 lbs! I think we're on the road to having a rather large baby. Well, here is an updated belly picture at 26 weeks:

Those darn ligaments

I haven't written on here in a while, so I figured you were all due for an update. We had a little bit of a scare 2 weeks ago. I started having ligament pain early in the week, which is totally normal, but after 3 days of it progressively getting worse I woke up one morning and couldn't move. The pain was so severe that getting out of bed and walking was too much for me and I was dragging my legs to the bathroom. I was pretty sure it was ligament pain, but because of how severe it was I thought I should call my doctor to verify. After talking to them, they decided that since I was having "abdominal pain" I should get to the OB Triage at the hospital to get checked out. After about an hour or so of being hooked up to monitors and having pelvic exams, the doctors verified that no pre-term labor had started. Baby was fine and I was fine. Thank the Lord! I wasn't really worried until my doctor acted worried and sent me to the hospital. It's then that I began to have some doubts. They concluded that because I am so active, I possibly strained some muscles or ligaments around the area and I was advised to rest for the next few days. No dancing and no exercise class, darn! If I was still having severe pain by the next morning then I was supposed to go back to my doctor for treatment of a possible strain. Thankfully, each day the pain got less and less severe and eventually left. I guess I over-did it in my fitness class. I no longer do abdominal work. I know, I know, shame on me for continuing this far. But because I lead the class, it's very difficult for me to not be doing anything. All the women understand and so I can honestly say that I no longer do them. I am also done dancing, just finished this last weekend. So it's just rest and relaxation for me from here on out! (And hopefully no more severe pain!)

PLEASE VOTE!!

My hubby has become a finalist in a current contest. Please read his email below and vote, we appreciate every vote that gets entered! Oh, and you can vote once a day until the polls close on April 10th. His video is in the top right corner and his username is ackelley. It will literally take only 5-10 seconds of your time. Thanks friends!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure how many of you are Phoenix Suns fans, but if you have watched any recent games, you've probably seen the commercials for the Schwartz Laser Eye Center "See The Best You Can See" Contest. Basically, all you had to do was send in a 60-second video telling why you need Lasik eye surgery and you would be entered in the contest.

Well, on a sort of whim, I decided to send in a video... and wouldn't you know, I was selected as 1 of only 10 finalists! From those 10 finalists, TWO WILL BE SELECTED FOR FREE LASIK EYE SURGERY!!! This is the same doctor that just did the surgery for Amare Stoudemire!

THE CATCH: The finalists will be selected based on fan voting! That's where you come in. You can vote for me in 3 easy steps:

1. Go to http://www.seethebestyoucansee.com
2. Enter your name and email address.
3. Click on my video and VOTE.

I know this is a pain, but with my newly acquired job as a firefighter, I would love to be able to drop the contacts and glasses, but this procedure is way out of our affordability range. I could really use your vote!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Sincerely,
Aaron Kelley
